Security Doors

A big-box security screen is a light frame with a latch. Ours is a welded steel door built to your exact opening: solid frame, heavy hinges, deadbolt-ready, with pickets, perforated panels or ornamental steel scrollwork in the design you choose. It stops a kick where the original door wouldn't, and from the curb it reads as a front door — not a jail cell.

Because every door is drawn and welded to order, the style is yours to pick. If you like the look of one of our custom gates, the same design language carries straight onto a security door so the whole front of the house matches.

Window guards are welded steel frames anchored to the structure, sized to each window rather than forced from a stock kit. On living rooms, garages and street-facing windows a fixed guard does the job. On bedroom windows the guard is built differently on purpose — hinged, with interior quick-release hardware — so it protects from outside but opens instantly from inside. That's not an upsell; it's what the residential building code requires for sleeping rooms, and we build it into every bedroom guard.

Sliding glass doors are usually the softest entry point on a house — big glass, light latch, hidden from the street. A welded steel guard panel or a hinged security gate over the patio opening closes that gap without blocking the light or the view. We measure the actual opening and build to it, the same way we build everything else in custom metal work.

Every job starts with measurements on site. Doors and guards are welded in the shop from steel tube, bar and plate, then finished in powder coat — matte black, bronze or the color that matches your trim — so they hold up to DFW sun and rain instead of rusting at the joints. Installation is anchored into the structure, not screwed into siding.
