Common questions
- Can you automate my existing gate, or do I need a new one?
- Often we can retrofit an operator, as long as the gate is structurally sound, hangs true and is the right weight for a motor. We check the gate, posts and hinges first and tell you straight.
- How much does an automated driveway gate cost in DFW?
- It varies with size, material, finish, operator and site. A rough DFW guide: complete new systems run from the low thousands into the mid five figures; automating an existing gate is usually less. Contact us for an exact quote.
- Is an automatic gate safe around kids and pets?
- Yes, when installed correctly. We follow UL 325, with monitored photo-eyes or safety edges that stop and reverse the gate in both directions. Modern operators will not run if those devices are missing or faulty.
